Vittra
When my grandfather passed away, a man I never met, I began work on the project Vittra. The project explores both my heritage and the invisible traumas passed down through generations. Vittra is a photographic installation about people without a documented legacy—those who never had the chance to be part of society, who were erased after their death. Through hand-printed analog photographs of dead insects, humans, and cacti, questions are raised about memory, forgetting, and ecological loss. Fragments from a letter written by my grandfather run as a common thread throughout the work, reflecting on the extinction of biological diversity.
